As a photographer, I spend my days looking through a viewfinder, framing the world for myself and others and freezing the "photographic moment". The moment is saved and gone simultaneously. The photographic activity is a reference for all my multi-media work. I am interested in the memory of gestures and how culture shapes us. My work combines actual memories with learned memories through fiction and mass media.The work is ocular in nature, referring to my photographic background and through numerous reversals in the work, public becomes private, intimate becomes public, innate becomes learned. The work is always about what light reveals through projection and the frame.
